Computer network devices are units of equipment or computer device that work as data mediator on a computer network. Sometime the devices are called as network equipment, intermediate systems or inter working units. The last receiver units that generate the data are called the hosts or data terminals. The router is a device that determines the network point which the data can be forwarded to the destination. The gateway works like the router but capable on connecting different interface. The bridge works to connect multiple network segments. The switch can allocate the data traffic from one network segment into another certain lines or segments. The Hub can connect multiple Ethernet segments together and make the segments work like a single segment. The repeater is one of the computer network devices that act as the amplifier to regenerate digital data signals when sending the signals from one part of the network into another part. It can prevent data error caused by weaker signals when it is transferred through the network.
